Question:
Sometimes my husband gets angry with the children when they fight amongst themselves or for not listening. He has valid points to be upset and discipline perhaps but he loses control and is not gentle in disciplining. Hamdulillahi ala kulle haal.
I’m reciting 100x “Yaa Haleem” and 500x “Yaa Samad” before fajr, for each family member. Also reciting hawqala and hasbala.
Children are mostly obedient, help in house work alot, read Quran each day, offer salat, wear hijab. Alhamdulillah we are truly blessed in our children and mashAllah alot of other nayma‘. Alhamdulillah things have improved alot from the past few years. Still, there must be something I am doing terribly wrong which I can’t figure out that is holding us all back in this state.
I keep hearing my nine year old’s advice that she has been asking Allah to remove his bad manners but he is still like this. My ten year old said with tears in her eyes that she asked her other girl friends and they’ve never been swatted.
MashaAllah he is a mature man and understands everything too well.

Continue and read it over food as well, and do weekly dhikr in jamaa`a.
