Question:
Assalmualaikum Eshaykh,
I refer to the post http://www.eshaykh.com/sufism/confused-appearance-mahdi-as/. If Imam Mehdi were to come after 7 years then will the 1500 years still stand because after speech of Shaykh Hisham the balance after all happenings eg. Nabi Isa, the beast etc. is 0-3 years based on 1432 calculations won’t it then over shot the 1500 years.
Sorry for my adab as i’m confuse too. Pls advise many thanks.

We often hear Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani say, “I have been waiting for Mahdi now for 90 years…”
This means our mashaykh are give us information of the future based on the ahadith of the Prophet (s) and the interpretation by `ulama and the visions and inspirations of awliya. Their intent is to remind us to be prepared for akhira and not to focus entirely on gathering this life’s material possessions and interests. In reality, they want us to prepare nightly to return to our Lord, for {no soul knows what it is that he will earn on the morrow: nor does anyone know in what land he is to die.} (Surah Luqman, 31:34)
Therefore we should not expect a precise date of the advent of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as), for if that was the case our Prophet, upon him be Allah’s Blessing and Peace, could have given that precisely. Rather, keep your eyes open for the Signs of the Last Days and know these are confirming the tremendous events, trials and tests a believer must expect in that era.
