Question:
Assalamu `alaikum waRehmatullahi waBarakatuh,
A. I have come across this wasihah (Will) of Hadrath Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RadiALLAHu anhu: “Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq RadiALLAHu anhu expressed his will that my janaza should be taken to the blessed shrine of RasulULLAH Sallallahu alaihi wasallam and then it should be said, Assalatu wassalamu alayka Ya RasulALLAH, Abu Bakr is present at your door. The companions followed his advice. The doors of the shrine opened by themselves and a voice came from the blessed grave saying, Udkhulul Habeeb ila Habeeb, (bring the beloved to his beloved). [Imam Fakhr uddin al Razi in Tafsir al-Kabir – v.5, p.475]”
I have also read on some website that it is in Khasais al-Kubra of Imam Suyuti rahmaullah but don’t have the reference. Can you please tell the authenticity of this wasihah?
B. I want Shaykh GF Haddad Hafidhullah to have a look at this Jirrah wa Tadhil on hadith of Nur Narrated by Jabir bin Abdullah RadiALLAHu anhu & share his comment on it.
Answer:
`Alaykum Salam,
A. It is mentioned by al-Ajurri in his book al-Shari`a, without chain.
B. In sha Allah a beneficial book on the Nur of the Prophet upon him blessings and peace filled with proofs and explanations from the Qur’an and Sunna is coming out very soon.
Blogging is good to help remind some people of the beauty of this topic but actual hadith scholarship should be taken from its sources and Allah knows best.
