Question:
I’m studying chartered accountancy. I want to be spiritual but, our institute is co-education, there’re na mahram girls. I never interact with any girl in my life. I don’t like girls. Do i terminate doing CA? In future i will do job but there’ll be the same problem of na mahram girls. How can i avoid this problem? I get scared in the presence of girl(s). I can’t quit my CA, I’ve to do it to earn money. I’m not a wealthy child.
Answer:
The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “I have not left behind me any fitnah more harmful to men than women.” (Bukhari, 4808, Muslim, 2704). Therefore, the Muslim must be aware of this temptation and keep away from anything that may lead to possible sin.
If the nature of your job does not involve constant looking and mixing with women, then there is no urgency to change your job as long as you are strong in faith, lower your gaze and limit your contact with the women to the shortest amount of time.
