Assalam o alaikum,
Are bank jobs halal or haram? Some ulema like Mufti Mohammad Akmal Qadri sahab say that it is halal to work in a bank. And the Salary will also be halal. I have asked to some alim also they also say that in India jobs in government banks are halal and jobs in private bank is also halal if the owner of the bank is kafir and no Muslim share the ownership. It will be haram to work in private banks if the owner is Muslim or if the Muslim is co-owner of the bank.

If the bank that one works in is a non-Muslim Bank and the customers are non-Muslims, then he/she can keep the employment and earning received from such work is halal. Allah (swt) knows best.
