Assalaam ‘alaykum all blessed eShaykh staff,
My father is already doing a car rental business and I’m planning to get into that as well. But I have some questions in my mind:
1) We rent the cars to Muslims, Christians, etc., so we have different kinds of clients and some may take the cars to discos, pubs, etc. while other can just enjoy themselves. So is it a sin or does it affect the purity of the income if we rent it with people who uses the car to go to discos or do other haram things with it?
2) Can you rent the car with a gambling company who will use the car for their business?

Answer:
1. It is permissible to rent a car to non-Muslims. If they happen to
use your rented car to go haram places that won’t affect your income.
2. You cannot rent your car to a haram business.
