Can women leave home without a need? Even if her husband/father permits?
Answer:
There always must be a need for both men and women to justify leaving the space which by its very name denotes peace of body and mind (sakan), hence the recommended duaas upon stepping out even when the need is an obligation of the highest order. If harm comes to one leaving needlessly and aimlessly, let them only blame themselves.
