Salam I hope ur ok, a quick question is smoking haraam? There’s a question going around in my head so I wanna know the truth answer.
Answer:
For majority of Muslim scholars “what is clean and nice is halal and what is filthy and harmful is haram.”
Modern day science has proved that smoking kills as it contains a number of harmful toxins and that smoking harms those who smoke as well as those who are near smokers.
According to Hanafi scholars, however “It is appropriate to say that things which are haramaccording to rules but are not mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah are makroohi tahriman (strictly abominable) rather than haram.”
What is meant by this is still haram but technically described as makroohi tahriman (strictly abominable).
