Does leather shoe/sandal/sock from animal that is not slaughtered is permissible to wear? I heard we can tan/samak it..
but for sandal that is already made and sew tightly, can we just tan/samak the outer or we need to tan/samak the leather fully

All leather is tanned by definition and pure.
