Question:
Bismillah Ir-Rehman Ir-Raheem
Alahumma sale ala Muhammadin wa ala ale Muhammadin wa sallem.
May Allah bless our Shuyukh, and may Allah’s pleasure be upon us and them.
Are men allowed to wear satin (or material like it)? (I am familiar with prohibition on men of wearing silk but wondered it it included satin or other material like it).
Please answer with spiritual and sharia insight, as I should like to follow the will of Allah and His Prophet (SAW) as I gave a gift of satin sleepwear to my father thinking it was halal but now have doubts.

Answer:
The general rule is ‘Everything is permissible unless forbidden’. Satin is not forbidden and men can wear it.
