Question:
Were the used clothes or old clothes of a dead person which was given to others can still be beneficial to the deceased? And is writing something or planting plants or trees in the grave forbidden or not allowed? Thank you very much..
Answer:
1. Please try to learn the answer to this question by reading this hadith: “I passed by two graves, and those two persons (in the graves) were being tortured. So I hoped by my intercession, that their punishment be lessened till the branches become dry.” (The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam) had put one branch on each grave).
2. The used clothes or old clothes of a dead person which was given to others can still be beneficial to the deceased.
