Question:
When I am about to masturbate, sometimes I would just see a image of shaykh Muhammad Sadiq Alawi (the Khalifa of Imam Habib ahmad mashur Al haddad) what does this mean?
Answer:
It means they are watching all you do, so be wary, as when Sayyidina Yusuf (as) was tempted by Zulaikha, and would have inclined towards her, until he saw his father, Sayyidina Ya`qub (as) coming through the wall.
وَلَقَدۡ هَمَّتۡ بِهِۦۖ وَهَمَّ بِہَا لَوۡلَآ أَن رَّءَا بُرۡهَـٰنَ رَبِّهِۦۚ ڪَذَٲلِكَ لِنَصۡرِفَ عَنۡهُ ٱلسُّوٓءَ وَٱلۡفَحۡشَآءَۚ إِنَّهُ ۥ مِنۡ عِبَادِنَا ٱلۡمُخۡلَصِينَ
{And indeed she did desire him, and he would have inclined to her desire, had he not seen the evidence [Ayah] of his Lord. Thus it was, that We might turn away from him evil and immoral sins. Surely, he was one of Our sincere, devoted servants.} (12:24)
Imam Ibn Jarir At-Tabari said:
The correct opinion is that we should say that he saw an Ayah from among Allah’s Ayat that repelled the thought that crossed his mind. This evidence might have been the image of Ya`qub, or the image of an angel, or a divine statement that forbade him from doing that evil sin…
