As-Salaamu alaikum Sayyidi
I would like to know is it allowed to consume chicken that has been stunned with a small electrical current before being zabbah (cut). Many companies are applying this process throughout the U.K who supply the Muslim communities with the chicken, and I would like to know is that meat still classed as HALAL to eat or Has it become haram due to the electrical shock being administered before full zabbah.

Animals can and do die from stunning. If an animal dies because of stunning it is haram to eat. We can not be sure that the animal was alive at the time of slaughter. We should then stay away from all “stunned meat.”
