Question:
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa barakrtu
My husband and I were chatting last night about he felt a little bit embaressed and shy over how the ladies have been dressing on sufilive.com. I’m betting your going to call me extreme but I feel offended that they have to show all that. I also feel kinda sad I know these are my own issues and I have to deal with them but maybe. Sorry if I offended anyone it seems like in isalm I cant have my own feelings with out some one harshly judjing me.
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Mawlana Shaykh teaches, “Walk with someone 99 steps in order that he may walk one step with you.”
What you may not realize is that many of the ladies who attended events in Argentina and Chile were not Muslim. Those who are, were covered and dressed modestly. And let us be frank, how many Muslim sisters do you know that do not cover? It is the extreme beauty of our way that it can draw in people from all different levels of society, and different beliefs and outlooks. We cannot thank Allah enough to have been guided to the likes of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani. May Allah grant them ever more success in their da`wah and all the other work they do.
That said, pray that these ladies – and the men – all enter Islam, through the gracious, warm, friendly and compassionate invitation of our mashaykh.
