We took a cat in that was already declawed. Now the cat has cancer and is constantly bleeding from the mouth, Cancer is eating away at face and already blind in 1 eye. Is it best to put down or let loose in woods to live last moments free?

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum,
Hanafi and Maliki scholars state that if the animal is in extreme pain and close to death and there is no hope of its recovery, there is no sin in having it killed. Allah knows best.
