8 years ago I caught a viral infection, known as the barr epstein virus. As the infection began to clear, I was left with this severe fatigue, causing me great distress in my day to day life. I still suffer from this chronic fatigue to this day. I am now 22 years old and I am still after 8 years unable to cope. I can’t study or concentrate properly. I can’t work or participate in many social or religious activites. Alhamdulliah, I know this is a test and I remain with my zikr. Please can you ask the Shaik to pray for me and any advice would be most appreciated.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Your state is a cleansing and through patience (sabr) raises your spiritual levels to heights which deeds do not. Use wudu as a source of energy, and recite Surat Tabarak (al-Mulk) before sleep every day and the following du`a.

يَا نَارُ كُونِي بَرْدًا وَسَلَامًا
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَسَلِّمْ تَسْلِيما
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem Fardun, Hayyun, Qayyimun, Hakamun, `Adlun, Quddusun, Sa-yaj`al-Allahu ba`d `usrin yusra
li ‘Lladhina amanu hudan wa shifa
Fardun, Hayyun, Qayyimun, Hakamun, `Adlun, Quddusun, Sa-yaj`al-Allahu ba`d `usrin yusra
ya naru kuni bardan wa salaman
allahuma salli `ala Sayyidina Muhammad (s) wa `ala Sayyidina Muhammadin wa sallim taslima
