Assalamu Alaikum. I had a question in regards to the right response to being called by your parents during prayer. Do you break the prayer or do you answer once one has finished? Thank you very much. Jazakum Allah khair.
Answer:
“If one of his parents calls him during an obligatory prayer, he should not answer unless his parent urging him to come and help.” – Al-Durr al-Mukhtar (2/54), Hanafi source.
From this we may conclude that if he is called during Nafila prayer, he should answer his parents’ call.
