Question:
There is an opinion that one can fast according to Mecca if fasting in Germany is 18 hours or more. What if only first half of Ramadan is 18 hours or more? Must one fast all days according to Germany or 1st half according Mekka and 2nd acc Germany?
Answer:
The latter would be preferable but only as a lesser evil, since the opinion itself is very weak to start with, and has no solid or agreed-upon proof in the Sacred Law.
