Question:
Asalkium dear staff may ALLAH most high reward you in this life and hereafter inshALLAH.
I was just wondering when a person is travelling for example away from home for like 15-20 days or more what is the prayers that have to offered.
do we pray normal five prayers or do we pray the five prayers but shorter,
please advise me for all five prayers.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem
While you are travelling, it is permissible for you to shorten your prayers. You allowed to shorten Zhuhr, `Asr and `Isha prayers from 4 raka`ats to 2 raka`ats. As for Fajr and Maghrib prayers the raka`ats performed remain the same.
Upon reaching your destination, you have to revert back praying 4 raka`ats for Zhuhr, `Asr and `Isha if you are staying in one place for 15 to 20 days as you are considered as one of the residents.
