Laylat ul Qadar

Question:

Assalam u alayekum !
1-Keeping in view the difference between moon sighting i want to ask that currently many countries are differing in calendar i.e on 27th night of Ramadhan in Saudia,Muslims in many parts of world mainly in sub-continent will be celebrating 26th night which will be an even night for those Muslims.Similarly on their 27th night, people of Saudia will be celebrating 28th night. So will those people celebrating even night be deprived of the blessings of layla-tul-qadr?
2-Is our Noble spiritual guide MSN Q.S is of the view that layla-tul-qadr is 27th night of Ramadhan?
Shukran.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Actions are by intentions and Allah is The Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

As for when to start and break fast, as Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani said many times on this forum and others, “follow the country you live in and don’t differ with the jama`at.”

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani did celebrate Laylatu ‘l-Qadr on the 27th this year.
