Is money laundering halal? Can the income be used to do haj and umrah?

Question:

Assalamualaikum
Is laundering illegal money of criminals, businessmen and politicians halal?
Can businessmen who engage in laundering money as their source of income use that income to do haj?

Answer:

Waalaikumussalam warahmatullah.

No to all three questions.

There is no money laundering in Islam. Haram income must be abandoned or given away without any expectation of reward or any other form of spiritual advantage other than getting rid of the fire that is burning your pocket, your belly and your soul.

Civilians

Question:

In the fatwa “defending the transgressed” in Islamic law women can not be targeted unless they directly fight in combat. However I read in Tafsir Qurtubi 2:190/191 a woman who supports with money can be targeted how to undertand /reconcile?

Answer:

What you cited is an extremely weak view. The Prophetic Sunna shows women on or near battlefields as nurses and other types of assistance but they are to be spared. Likewise women contributing gold for military campaigns or strategic defenses then staying home. They are never to be targeted.

Post Nikah and Sihr

Prayer Request:

Please do dua for me. I married in the 27th of Ramadhan. It has been two days I have a very very different feeling. My wife is my cousin. She is an orphan and have a step-mother who does sorcery and other things. I love her and I am worried about us.

Answer:

May Allah bless you and your wife and home in dunya and akhira. Keep salat on time and rise regularly at night for 2 to 8 rakaats in which you may turn to Allah and ask Him protection from evil things and people, and nearness to holy things and people. Light pierces darkness but darkness can never pierce light.
