Question:

How to differentiate between actually liking someone to be your spouse or shaitan making you think of him again n again? If my sole reason of falling in love with a guy is because he keeps distance from girls n prays regularly. (We r not in relationship)

Answer:

Shaytan pulls towards sin, distraction and negative thoughts. If the feeling is from a pure source it will inspire towards dhikr, duaa and gratitude in any case.
Ask Allah to facilitate marriage for you with him if he is right for you for His sake. Recite Rabbana atina fil-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa-qina `adhaban nar to that intention in every duaa.

Who are some Suhrawardi and Qadri shaykhs. I’m particularly interested in those of the Deoband maslak, however, but also those generally from Ahlus sunnah is of course no problem. Looking to know their islaahi approach and dhikr fundamentals.

Answer:

The past shaykhs of those paths are well-known. Search for living shaykhs of those paths and ask them to enlighten you regarding your questions.

Btw I haven’t been practicing recently. Today I dreamed that I’m holding prophets sws holy hair in both hands carefully taking it to both shaykhs wearing green turbans as they apply musk to it. I smell it and then rub it on my face. Dream ends

Answer:

You have taken bayaa in their blessed chain and they are interceding for you with a good life and a good hereafter in sha Allah. Do not cause the Holy Prophet shame but take up his intercession with gratitude and a return to practice.

I woke up. I decided to sleep again and to do the daily wird later and I had dream: I’m in dergah with Mawlana’s representative and he ask to take baya`. I said: oh no i do not want.

Answer:

Dream is about rebarbativeness of our ego despite our being in Mawlana’s dergah and doing our wird.

Sick friend

I saw in my dream a former non Muslim classmate whom I have not met for many years sick with major illness. I am really scared from this dream as I suffer from health anxiety and fear something might happen to me. I have given sadaqa. Please guide.

Answer:

Visit him or at least contact him and enquire after his health and his state without mentioning the dream to him. Show him mercy and goodness.

Temporary marriage

Muslim 1404: We were on an expedition with Allah’s Messenger (Pbuh) and we had no women with us. We said: Should we not have ourselves castrated. He (the Holy Prophet) forbade us to do so. Hé then permitted us to contract temporarily marriage?
