I understand that interpreting dreams can be problematic when you don’t know the individual who saw the dream. I am not a part of any Tariqa but my grandfather was Naqshbandi (may He have mercy on him).
I had a dream that I was sitting to the right of Shaykha Amina and she was alive and well. To her left (in front of me — we made a “triangle” of sorts) was someone translating between us. I speak English and Arabic and I believe Shaykha spoke some Arabic, but I think the woman translating spoke something close to Russian (I’m not certain of the language).
The Shaykha was asking if someone who asks for forgiveness from the one he or she has harmed satisfies the criteria to be amongst the tawwaabeen (the verses discussed might have been in Surat al Nisa, al Tawbah, al Maidah..I can’t remember now) and I told her I didn’t believe so.
She asked me “really?” And I explained through the translator that if the person doesn’t satisfy the first three criteria of tawbah, how can they be amongst the tawwaabeen? (So, for example, if someone continually steals from various people, but asks only one of them for forgiveness while they are still actively stealing, can that count?)
The Shaykha seemed surprised and asked if I was certain, so after saying I was certain, I told her that perhaps I am wrong and will check the tafsir books and also ask my dad (my dad was my first teacher).
Then, I kissed her hand, and as I held it to kiss it I heard women chattering to my right about their surprise that I was being allowed to do so (they might have been trying to stop me but the Shaykha allowed me so I did not really care what they said, to be honest). But something very strange happened when I kissed her hand and suddenly I couldn’t see the entire dunya anymore…everything was white and gold and it was the most overwhelmingly beautiful experience I have ever had.
The thought occurred to me, “finally, I’ve arrived!” And I began crying and she began hugging me.
That was the end of the dream and I woke up from that experience but it was even stranger when I woke up because for the first several moments, in my memory it was Shaykha Haifa Younis that I was hugging and who was hugging me (I also don’t know Shaykha Haifa but I saw her in dreams before 🤷♀).
It took me several moments to realize that it was someone else entirely, and then I needed to scour the internet to find her. I am 1,000% certain it was hajjah Amina that I saw.

Interpretation:
Wa alaykum as-salam,
The dream is straightforward. The lady you saw was as you understood you through your heart is Hajjah Amina. She asked you a question – not for you to answer -but for you to listen and learn. Understand that the ladies who were shocked at kissing her hand, are like you – shocked that Allah can make you of those who repent, even though your repentance is partial that is because Allah’s mercy and encompasses all our weakness, including our weakness to repent. Then she opened to you to witness Haqaiq and to know that what we understand from the religion is the most superficial of understandings but what is with the Awliya are realities which leave the mind dumbfounded.

Question:
I know that it is Allah who inspires us to make particular du’a and that He expects us to be persistent. However, how do we know if Allah wants us to stop making this du’a? How can we recognize the fact that Allah is redirecting us toward another du’a ?
Answer:
Do not worry about replacing any duaa but add to it if inspired. That is the adab. Do not ask to know when He wants what you said. When He wants that, He doesn’t need to inform. One will stop and not even know.
