I emailed you a while back and your response was “Alaykum Salam,
You are under blessings, make two rakaats of shukr for your blessings before Fajr as much as you can and each time ask Allah for the rizq of marriage with peace of heart. Hajj Gibril Haddad.”

What blessings am I under? I don’t understand –reply is to post regarding bandish

Bisimillah to wear Hijab or not

Question:

Bismillah,
 I am seeking employment I want to continue wearing hijab. I am being told to remove it and then I will be accepted. I pray to be accepted for my education and experience inshaAllah. To continue to submit to Allah in the way I am to. I am a new convert of 6 yrs now. I am divorced and need to earn a living. inshaAllah

Answer:

Wear a fashionable headcover that is not exactly covering the hair but stands for the hijab for as long as you need to until you find a job that allows you to wear a proper hijab. Recite Salat al-Fatih for an opening in rizq. Insha Allah you will be sustained and protected.

Abortion

Question:

Need Islamic ruling on abortion and when does the ruh enters the baby to pass on to a Muslim couple who asked me about it. The sister is about 2 months pregnant with low blood counts, had two caesarean before, last one about a year ago. The doctor told them that this third one might be dangerous. The girl family is pushing for abortion and also think that the couple do not have any parenting skills so how could they handle a third baby, especially that the husband is not well, going on and off on depression and with financial problems. The sister has no skill to survive on her own with two children and possibly a third children and no family support.

The sister is asking for duah as well for them to be guided to do the right thing for the fear of Allah.

Answer:

Abortion is haram unless there is certitude about the risk posed to the
mother. As for the time of ensoulment see here.

Dream: Mawlana telling me I am bad

Question:

Assalaam alaikum,
 1. I had dream about Maulana Sheikh Nazim and asked him to say me that I am good person. He said, “NO you are bad” and I got a bit depressed. After this he said, “This saying of mine will help you in cleaning your self internally.”
2. I did a istekhara for job on Thursday after Salat ul Isha and got a dream after fajr I guess. There are two masjid and it is the day of Friday in one masjid the people are standing up for prayers and it is full of people and in other masjid the qutbah has started and there are really few people sitting. I go to the first row in the masjid, clean the prayer mat which is white in colour and has got dust upon it and sit there. Can this Istekhara dream be true as I had got this dream after fajr.

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,
1) It shows that Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is loving you, and by shouting at you, he is cleaning your sins and carrying your burdens as Mawlana Shaykh Hisham explain in this suhba. And Allah knows best

2) The first masjid represents your current job (or current situation), second masjid represents the job for which you did istikhara. It shows that will encounter some difficulties/tests (dust) in this job that you will be able to overcome.

Prayer Request: Family is falling apart, emergency

Assalamu alaykum warah matullah wabaraka tuhu,
Please forgive my directness, please could you pray for me and my family, my older sister has used all our families money and passed it onto someone who said he would give it back but has not. This has torn my family apart, my brother has left home because she took his money as well. There are constant arguments. I’ve been praying for forgiveness and for my family to be united as one. The money issue has split and ruined my family. I have gone astray as well and I have been asking for forgiveness for all of our mistakes. Please pray for me and my family, we are all desperate for light at the end of this very dark place. Please pray for everything to be right in this world and for us for the hereafter. Inshallah ameen. May Allah reward you bountiful. Assalamu alaykum

Dream: Meeting Sayyidina Jibril (a.s)

Dream:

I was showering. Someone knocked on the door and said, ”You asked for a towel right?” In a ladies voice. I replied hold on. He said “Just open the door I will pass you the towel now.” So I opened the door and he show his hand with a white towel. I want to take it but he pulled me out of the toilet. It was a man with a white jubah. He didn’t let my hand go. He said (man’s voice) ”Allah accepted your dua about you and that girl’s name.” I started to look up at his face, but he covered with that towel like a ninja. I only see his eyes and I think he gave a bayaah. After that I asked him who are you? I am suddenly seated on a chair and he disappeared and the chair which have wheels moving forward. I heard his voice from loud to soft saying ”I am Jibrael.”

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

It could mean that you will soon have an opening to get married insh Allah and that your marriage will be blessed by Allah (swt).

Request for Benefit in Reciting

May Allah guide us and enable us to reach our Heavenly Stations.

I humbly request permission from Sheikh Hisham and Sheikh Nazim to recite Durood Naariya (4444 times) and ask for prayer from Sheikh Hisham and Sheikh Nazim to get its full benefits, as I cannot get benefit without permission. Delayed make-up fast

Question:

Assalamo alaikum,
I delayed my make-up fast till next Ramadan without any valid reason. Is it ok if I just make up for it by fasting after the end if this Ramadan?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,
You are obligated to make up the fasts of the previous month of Ramadan after the end of this Ramadan. If you want to be on the safe side you should feed one person for each day missed as well.

Divorce on Istikhara

Question:

Salam alaikum Sheikh,
My husband has recently issued talaq. He says his istikhara showed him its best to talaq, and my istikhara indicated for the marriage to continue. I believe there’s hope. How do I convince him? Jazakallah.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,
 Your istikhara is the more correct one because it is closer to what Allah Most High loves since the Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said that Allah Most High detests divorce. However, arguing about it may not be the best course. Just ask your husband from the heart to take you back and recite daily “Ya Wadud” x1000.
