Prayer Request:
Asalam ulakum,
How can someone move on from their mistakes? What if you do wrong knowing and then when you get more in deen you realise your mistakes and ask forgiveness.
I have done wrong but Alhamdulilah I am on the right path now. I have moved away from my bad circle of friends but there are reminders everywhere of the wrong I have done. How can I forget about this?
So many people think bad of me and I don’t know how to move forward. Is Allah ashamed of me? I have become so quiet and don’t like going out with friends. I stay in my room and feel humiliated of facing the world even though people have the wrong perceptions about me. I was a very open and friendly person which people took the wrong way. How can i et people to trust and like me again?
Response:
Say thanks to Allah that He guided you from the wrong path to the right one. Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for you. Remember the verse:
Say: “O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah. for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Surat az-Zumar: 39:53)
Recite the du`a of the Saint of Rajab daily until inspiration comes that what you have done of harm to yourself and to others is forgiven. You will see things open up towards new friends who also love the new path you are on, insha-Allah.
