I am requesting istikhara for marriage for [private]. I have performed it myself and saw us coming back from umrah and people giving us Mubarak. I also am unsure how I will receive a response from this site and have asked a few times .
Answer:
Ask permission from your parents the same way that you would if you went to Umrah.
