Assalamu Alaikum Sheikh Hisham,
I am in a relationship with my boyfriend for the past 4 years and when Sheikh Adnan visited my country I asked his permission and blessings, I was granted permission and was asked to perform nikkah asap. But because he is currently studying his parents are refusing to do the nikkah now. I am very guilty of this situation and also don’t want to lose him.
Could you please advise me with a dua or prayer to be recited to get the blessings to marry my boyfriend asap. Thank you in advance.

You have no problem living as boyfriend-girlfriend, but when it comes to marriage both your nafs are throwing all kinds of obstacles. It does not matter what your parents say, halal is clear and haram is clear. You must not live as boyfriend-girlfriend, as that is haram, so get married with or without your parents’ assistance or presence. And Allah knows best.
