I have known a boy for the past 9 years, and we fell in love. He has a sister and mother. We used to get along, but since my engagement, they have both been very disrespectful towards my family and myself and led to me refusing to live under the same roof as them. My fiancee knows that I wasn’t wrong but refuses to build our house elsewhere but instead live on top of their existing house. I haven’t seen him in a month and we are not speaking. My parents are now very upset with the situation. We are both in a dilemma.
Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani, please make duah for me and my fiancee to get married inshallah as I want to be married to him and no one else as I have been sincere and truly love him. What should I read to make things better?

What made them disrespect your family? Ask your fiancee to discuss this matter with his family in a polite and respectable manner. You should get him to clear the air with both sides of the family before you are married and find yourself even more uncomfortable later. Recite HasbunAllah wa Ni`mal Wakeel 100 times, and Istighfar 100 times daily. Pray Salat al-Hajat at night, recite Ya Fattah Ya Wadud 100 times and ask for an opening. May Allah makes it easy for everyone.
