Request:
Assalamualikum,
Yesterday, after commiting a very bad sin I felt remorseful and prayed two rakats nafil so that the sin might be cleared away. After praying I read surah Yaseen and I cried and asked Allah why he created me and that I feel very confused. I then went to sleep and when I woke up to eat, my heart suddenly told me “Rahmatha lil Alameen“. I told this to my brother and he showed me Darood Taj. The same words were there. Does this mean anything? Do I need to do anything? How can I be a better person and understand Islam is the true religion( though I am a very weak believing Muslim)
Jazakallah!

wa `alaykum salam,
By nature you did the right thing, which is called Salat at-Tawbah, Prayer of Penitence and what came to your heart is the clear answer Rahmatan li ‘l-`alameen, the title of Sayyidina Muhammad (s) which means “the Mercy to all creation”. Seek forgiveness through the means of the Prophet (s) by such invocations as Darood Taj and others, because the Prophet (s) is the means for believer to achieve every aim and be cleansed of every dirtiness.
If you have not done so, take initiation with Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani, for he is Refuge of Sinners in this time and his du`a is able to purify his followers of their wrongs, dress them with his own goodnesses and send them perfumed to the Presence of the Prophet (s), insha-Allah.
