Question:
Can a common man who need to work 12 hours a day for livelihood , ever reach baqa ? Or can baqa be only reached by the Sufis who wander here and there without job or any commitment?
Answer:
Baqa is not a function of our qualification — to believe that would be shirk — but of divine bestowal freely given. Spiritual progress is facilitated by abandoning sins such as self-aggrandizement, calumny etc.
