Assalamualaikum,
I learned that the colour of the Naqshbandi taj now would have to be black, as we are in the time of Mahdi a.s.
Can we still wear other colours? For instance, a wedding, would white taj be OK for the groom? Or do we have to honour the time and still wear black?

You may wear other colors as the turban cloth. Our mashaykh are wearing green and white as well as black.
