Assalam o Alaikum, I come from a liberal family, where religon goes as far as tilawat and prayers. My parents, though pious, advise me to keep to these things and not wander into any other thing. I try to pray, I try to do tilawat, however, the connect I cannot form. My friend has told me that this is the way.. The way to form a connect. Through a shaikh. Please let me know.
Answer:
When one’s heart has been called towards the Divine then it must respond. Simply doing prayer and fasting will not be sufficient. Respond to the call of Allah, connect with a living master and you will begin the real journey of a seeker.
