Question:
Salaam Beloved Maulana and his blessed colleagues, may Allah swt bless you all for the good work you do in providing us with the answers that we seek. We have a ladies zikr circle that we are struggling to keep going. I have attended with my 4 young children on many occasions, to find that on some occasions no one wants to come. i do not whether to keep it going as much as I enjoy being in that circle. Please advise what is best to do ? We have tried many ways to bring mureeds to the maqaam without success .
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
The way of haqq is never easy. If you can continue you will receive the baraka and blessings of the Dhikr and the blessing of those who did not attend will come to you. Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani has explained that there are a fixed number of rewards distributed to those who attend the Dhikr. If the number attending is a lot each will get a portion of that reward, divided by the number attending. If the number is few they will get more reward because there are fewer amongst whom the blessings are divided.
And Shaykh Hisham mentioned many times that Grandshaykh used to say: “Give suhbat even if to your own turban.” Which means even if no one is listening, the inspirations coming from heavenly sources are valuable enough to speak out.
And Allah knows best,
Taher Siddiqui
