Question:
Asalamu alaykom wr wb Ya Sayyidi!
I have a qs. regarding the Earthquake tht will take place in istanbul as Mawlana Shaykh Nazim declared on the 4th of August…
I know a family living in Istanbul, my qs is do I have to infrom them to go out of Istanbul cause there will be Earthquake or should they stay there ?
as Mawlana said ‘only Old Istanbul will be protected’ so would it be better to tell them to go to old istanbul ?
or I don’t have any responsibility, permission to inform others of what will happen/take place?

wa `alaykum salam,
We pray they will be safe when that time comes. If you want to inform them, do so in general terms, eg. “Some awliya have predicted that in the Last Days a great earthquake and volcanic eruption which will destroy Istanbul” and leave it at that. Similarly for our friends and acquaintances in Cairo, in the Persian Gulf and so on, for the wars and tribulation of the Last Days will not spare any people, except through Allah’s Mercy. May Allah save everyone.
