assalam alaykum Shaykh Hisham Kabbani,
I wanted to become an aamil so that my spiritual eye could be opened. I tried a lot. I tried becoming one since one year. Also I am not a mureed. I visited a lot of dargahs of awliya in India through out the year with of course help of an aamil friend, but I didn’t get any result. I have been doing zikr of Surah Muzammil and Yaseen every day after Asar salah and La haula walakuwata…X500, Bismillah hir rahmanir rahimX500 every day after Asar salah. Please help me shaykh.

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.
The recitations you are doing are of course good, but you will never satisfactory results if you don’t take baya` with a living shaykh. Try to find a murshid who you trust and take his hand. Else you are like someone self-prescribing medicine, and Allah knows best. The living guide must “activate” your recitations in order to have their best effect.
