Assalamun’alaykum sheikh. May blessing of Allah Azza Wa Jal be upon you. I got a question: if you want your daughter to get married like as soon as possible can you take her to the masjid for any marriage proposal like saying, “I brought my daughter to the masjid to get married today and if you are looking for a wife…etc.” Can you do that sheikh? Imams do more than lead prayers, deliver Khutbahs and officiate marriages. They can be guardians for sisters and vouch for good brothers. They are great reference for brothers who attend their mosques. Muslims should have a sense of assurance and trust in imams to propose a brother for one’s daughter to be married happily.
