Question:
اسلام علیکم
There is an Arabic phrase وَالْنھرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ. Whether following are the right translations of this phrase in English?
And the river when it makes (them) drink or
And the river when it quenches (one’s) thirst.
Answer:
السلام عليكم
The phrase you quote appears to be a misspelling and mistranslation of the Quranic verse وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا اتَّسَقَ in Surat al-Inshiqaq 84:18 which means “By the moon when it is full.“
