Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, may Allah give him long life, told me to breastfeed my children whenever they want. Since then a sister has told me that we should only feed them for 2 to 2.5 years. My daughter is nearly three and has a little feed at night and in the morning, occasionally during the day. If I try to stop her she gets very upset – should she be forced to stop, since she is used to having whenever she wants?
