Request:
Asalamu Alaiykum,
During the birth of my last child the midwives were really hostile to us (because we are Muslim) and gave me injections I didn’t want. Afterwards I thought I wouldn’t use them again if I had another child. I am pregnant again and despite past experience went to see the midwives a couple of months again. Having asked our religion she made a racist comment. I dont want another experience like last time and so haven’t been back. I have about 2-3 months left don’t have a midwife and am not sure what to do. I’m a bit afraid that my husband and I will have to give birth to the baby on our own. Please can you pray for us to have help and I would be grateful of any guidance. Thank you.
Response:
Wa Alaikum Salam,
We ask Mawlana to pray for you. Additionally, you should find a female obstetrician and share with her any wishes you have about certain medications.
Dr. Karim
