I have intention to marry a girl that is a few years older than me. We both have niyyah for marriage, as we both have the same shaykh, we do the same things and think the same. But we are both scared to tell our parents about marriage due to cultural and age differences, Otherwise we feel as if we are one. Please could you advise us and pray for us Sayyidi.

If neither of you was ever married before a big part of the blessing consists in involving your respective parents in your momentous intention, so consult your heart and choose wisely.
