Seeking your forgiveness, Mawlana(q). Allah swt refers to Sayidna Mohammad sws as abdAllah, and yet on the other hand says…InnAllaha wa malaikatuhu yusuluna alan Nabi(s)…
So, what is the relationship between Allah azza wa jal and Prophet salAllahu aleyh wasalam that he sends salawats on Prophets salAllahu aleyh wasalam, Himself(swt)?

It is to give honor to the Prophet (s) that He did not give to anyone else.
