Question:
Salam alaykum,
I would like to ask what the scholarly views are regarding fasting in Ramadan when a person is affected with sihr. My family and I can’t seem to get rid of this problem whichever way we try. As the jinn keep affecting us in different ways, they are also able to drain much of a person’s energy.
Having to complete fasting, prayers, awrad and work while not being able to escape the negative influence of the jinn/sihr seems difficult to imagine at the moment. As I am currently living away from my family and without a supporting Muslim community I also have to take care of things like cooking myself.
Jazakum Allahu khayran for all your efforts and patience
Answer:
Alaykum Salam,
Recite “A`udhu billah min al-shaytan al-rajim” before every important
action through the day and night on as many occasions as it takes. Stay
away from anger, observe prayers and renew wudu‘ as soon as you lose it.
With perseverance comes protection in sha Allah. Follow the suhbas of
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham as these topics recur time and again with
countless advices.
