I received a reply back suggesting I should do the following, having requested dua for marriage. ( Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Recite Surat al-Sharh x7 after every Salat to the intention of ease and reuniting). The thing is when the two of us got separated, shortly after the person (guy) got engaged to someone (else) and I cannot believe how far he has been taken away from me because of (religious man I thought was helping me). Please can you advise me further. This incident that took place should never have occurred. I have started to pray surat al-sharh after every salat as requested. Is it OK for me to continue this, as I really hope we are reunited. Inshallah.

The Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said that “If only” opens the door to shaytan. I advise you steadfastness in accepting the Decree from Allah, as nothing happens without His permission and whatever He wills takes place. Turn to Him rather than His events and in sha Allah He will give you a better outcome than what you expected. As for continuing to recite Surat ash-Sharh as advised it is up to you.
