Question:

AOA,
A Sunni sayyid has direct link with Rasul Allah S.A.W and has visions, is guided and witness Allah’s Tajalli, asked to lead the fajr namaz in vision. He has direct meetings with 5anjtan Pak. is it compulsory for him to have bayat of Kamil Shaykh?

Answer:

Salamu Alaikum,

It is not compulsory for anyone to take bayat with a shaykh. Tariqat is non-compulsory and falls under the category of nawafil. If a person however, wishes to reach the highest levels of iman and closeness to Allah Almighty and the Prophet (pbuh), that is impossible without a Sufi guide/murshid.

And Allah and His Prophet know best.
