Does this Hadith mean that the Torah is not corrupted?

Question:

Asalamualaikum,

I was reading a Hadith in Sunan Abu Dawud (book 38) regarding the Prophet (SAWS) and the Torah. The Hadith says: “placed the Torah on it saying: I believed in thee and in Him Who revealed thee”. Does this mean that Torah is not corrupted?

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
No, it does not. The intent of the expression was the originally revealed, uncorrupted Torah (المراد أصل التوراة). Fath al-Bari.
