Question:
Assalamu Alaykum Shaykh Hisham
May Allah (SWT) bless you.
I received an inheritance and asked Maulana Shaykh Nazim if I should use it on property or gold. He said I should use two thirds on property and one third on gold. The thought has dawned on me (I am a revert) that I have an an obligation to go on Hajj when I have the means. Now I have the means. Must I use some of my inheritance to go on Hajj and ask Maulana Shaykh Nazim for permission to use some of it for Hajj?
I do not know the rules for Hajj, and would like to go to Hajj classes, but I am afraid to go to the local mosque as I do not know whether they are Wahabis. I will be able to commute to Feltham for Hajj classes. Will Feltham have Hajj classes?
Thank you.
Wasalaam.
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
You can go to Hajj but without waste. There is no one in Feltham, but you can ask Shair or Arifin.
