As-Salaam-aleikum,
I am a Computer Professional working with Oracle Database. Is it permissible to work as a Database administrator for a financial Instutution like a Bank or investment firm like on Wall St dealing with Riba – Interest
My work responsibility be maintenance of their database systems infratructure and ensure the system is up and running all the time. May be create Interest calculation computer programs also that is all based on Riba- Interest.
I am afraid , as I heard that there is a Hadith which says the one of takes interest , gives interest or even records it will be answerablt to Allah. In this case I was thinking I would be the one in the recording category as I facilitate smooth operations of the business.
What about the Stock market , can I work there as a Computer specialist
