Question:
How do you know when your are being tested or when you are being punished?
Answer:
The guilty one knows in his or her heart what he or she has done, and why “punishment” is coming, while the innocent one under test will feel penitent and review past wrongs. The former must repent and seek forgiveness and the latter must be patient and seek Divine Support, and Allah knows best.
