Question:
My husband (4 yrs) does not pray or observe other obligations except fasting in Ramadan. It’s creating major problems, affecting my ibadat, and my children not learning the religion. I am pregnant but so depressed, I want to terminate. What should I do?
Answer:
Do not increase your suffering but stay with Allah. There were women awliya with violent drunkards for a husband, and others with ailments in their body which they endured helplessly but trusting in their nurturing Lord, Who raised them high. Try to keep the best hope and turn to Allah with your heart. May He give you strength and support, and improve your situation. Tell your husband what you are enduring when the time is right, and ask Allah to change his heart.
