Naming A child the name of Allah(swt)

Question:

Assalamualaikum Wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu
first I want to apologize, I didnt salam in my first question sorry, I forgot.
second, I want to ask, my nephew’s name is [private], and my sister says its ok, as some names of Allah dont require Abdul as a prefix, but I end up fighting with my sister and brother in law about this, as I say his name should be Abdul Hadi, not [private], but my sister also did a Nazar or mannat that if Allah grants her a baby boy she would name him with Mohammad, and she did, but she also added Hadi, without Abdul, so basically I need to know, whether its ok to name a boy Mohammad Hadi or not? and if not, please give an example of what it should be, bye, Salam to you, Thanks in advance

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Al-Hadi means Allah the provider of guidance (SWT), while Hadi means a person who guides. Therefore, your sister is right – Hadi without definitive article AL can be given to the boy.
